“Call me when you can, it is about a wedding.” – Rebecca
Those are the words that popped up on my screen just two weeks ago. I knew that this text message wasn’t about just any wedding, but that Scott and Rebecca were finally going to tie the knot! Marriage has always been the plan and was dreamed about on multiple occasions, but the timing just wasn’t, well – perfect. They have three babies together, ranging in ages from 7 and a/2 weeks to 9 years old. Their life living and loving each other as a family came before extravagant wedding plans. Their love story revolves around their children and immediate family, so on Wednesday, they exchanged their vows in an intimate elopement at Swan Harbor Farm.
As their newborn cried and their twenty-one-month-old tugged at Rebecca’s dress and played with her baby doll, Scott and Rebecca looked into each other’s eyes and shared every dream, promise, and goal for their marriage. Just a handful of family members watched as the sun set behind the mansion and the changing leaves blew in the breeze. Their sweet elopement was real and raw, and a beautiful representation of the amazing and chaotic life they share and love so much.
